Information AVinDH Workshop @DH2016

We are happy to inform you that all the information about our upcoming workshop ‘Audiovisual Data and Digital Scholarship: Towards Multimodal Literacy’ is now online at The workshop will take place 12 July 2016 during the DH2016 conference at Cracow, Poland.

The workshop will kick off with a keynote by Claire Clivaz on ‘Images, Sound, Writing in Western: a long hatred-love story?’ after which 3 paper sessions will take place:

  • Models for training digital humanists in accessing and analyzing audiovisual collections
  • Analysis and discovery models for audiovisual materials
  • Copyright and Sustainability

To facilitate the exchange of current ongoing work, projects or plans, this workshop also allows participants to give very short lightning talks and project pitches of max 5 minutes. More information at
